Registering for Classes:
  • If you are transitioning to Pinecrest from another High School, you will need to complete the enrollment paperwork on the Moore County Schools Website (LINK) and you will be contacted by our Register, Kelsey Moss ([email protected]), to schedule an appointment during the Summer.  We will start contacting families to schedule appointments starting in mid-May.
  • Minimum Graduation Requirements(22 total): 4 English, 4 Math, 4 Social Studies, 3 Science, Health & PE, 6 Electives.
    Additionally, Four-Year Universities often require 2 credits of a foreign language (ex. Spanish 1 & Spanish 2)

  • Update your FREE CFNC account (www.CFNC.org) - You can apply to NC Colleges through this page.
  • Create a Common App Account https://apply.commonapp.org/login (NC and Out of state Colleges)
  • Explore Careers that interest you: Occupational Outlook Handbook 
  • Take rigorous courses, Get Involved in clubs, community service, and sports. Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills. Build/add to your academic resume and brag sheets.
  • Create an account with BigFuture: You can check out careers you’re interested in. You can find colleges based on what’s important to you. You can discover ways to pay for college.
    • What Are BigFuture Scholarships?
      ​No essay, no minimum GPA or test score, no citizenship requirements. Just follow the steps for chances to win! The more steps you complete and earlier you start, the more chances you have to win. If you win, your scholarship can be used at any two- or four-year college. If you don’t win, your entry rolls over for the next month.
  • ​Using your academic resume and brag sheets, ask teachers for letters of recommendations.
  • Go on College Visits! Visit Mrs. Moss' desk in the counseling center for a form!
